Vulnerabilities in Microsoft's Server Message Block (SMB) version 1 protocol are still being exploited today by EternalBlue and others. Turn off SMBv1 today to stay safe. It's not worth the risk, for many the only reason for running it was compatibility with Windows XP. For instructions direct from Microsoft, see:
