We've all done it, created a file, maybe printed it, then closed Word or Excel without saving. Luckily there is a hidden backup. Before you panic, try following these simple steps:
- Open the program (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a new blank file.
- Click File from the menubar
- Click on the Manage ... Document (Word), Workbook (Excel), Presentation (PowerPoint)
- And select Recover Unsaved ... Document / Workbook / Presentation
- Select the asd file to open and save as ...
Alternatively you may have a Recover Unsaved ... button at the bottom of the Open file dialog.
